Not Halloween (Samhain) for us, being on the other end of the seasons. It's Beltaine. It's the coming of summer that should be celebrated here currently.
But for some reason (I suppose it has something to do with the supermarkets and some of the other large retail chains pushing it as another way to make some money) it has become more common for the knock on the door from trick or treaters. But it just doesn't work. Scary and creepy doesn't work in bright sunshine.
Don't get me wrong, if it was the right time of year for the right mood, I'd be in like Flynn.
