Harry......thanks to your review I had to order one today . Also tried to order the 3 DTM series cars , but they told me I have to wait a couple of months > Already sold out in the U.S. on the BMW ....I think you bought the last one in the states . :angry-tappingfoot: ... Now you are going to have to drive back up here to Chitown so I can test drive yours :lol: ....If you hear of any around let me know .I went ahead and ordered Audi and the Mercedes to go with the Aston Martin...Sorry pal these old eyes of mine didn't see my earlier post :doh:

Decided to convert the front guide. It is an added expense, but not a lot really. And the dividends it pays is well worth it to me.



I want to tune these Carrera cars for our wood track using as much of the stock model as possible. Since the front axles/guide position in most of these need addressing for best performance, I went with the B-Nova/Slot.it combo. It allows you to set the front end height where you want it without sanding the chassis, and at the same time removes the free-play stock guides usually have.

Between this and a session on the razor to clean up the wheels and tires, this car is a outstanding runner.

With a fresh stock of these coming in, looks like it is tune up time for more in the flock.

Harry....Just got the DTM's and the Aston Martin delivered today :banana-dance: :banana-dance: .....Run great out of the box , but I think I might order the PG,s for the 4 of them...Do you deal directly with Paul for the tires ?

Nice looking car. I really do like this series. Kinda like the Nascar of Europe. You know, big sedans with hot motors. One question Harry. You mention that you bought the digital version because you wanted lights. Does that mean Carrera has eliminated the lighting boards that used to plug in just like chips in their analogue cars? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, MIke. They stopped installing lights in the analog cars for awhile. They did it to keep the costs down for the Evolution range.

I will warn you now Tony, once you do ONE there is no turning back.

Try choosing a pair of similar models in a side by side test. Just convert one and then you can see and feel the difference.

If you add the Carrera digital decoder chip to an Evolution slot car do you get lights or is the car just able to run on a Carrera digital track? Are the lights really good on the Carrera cars? Do you get working brake lights as well?
