Wheel suggestion

Like many others I like the simplicity of a wheel that doesn't require inserts. Sloting Plus Americanas were just perfect on a lot of things. The CB Design Steelies and 5 slots are brilliant and finish off many cars beautifully.

Why hasn't someone done an alloy Minilite? There was a time when they were put on absolutely everything, so they would suit so many cars. Oh, I know they are readily available as inserts from many sources, but an all in one alloy is just so much less fuss.

In these days, we never know what will come next. The milling technology available today is pretty impressive, and would not surprise me if we saw them within the next year or so.

Well, if you want something that looks really accurate, minilites have rounded and longitudinally curved ribs/spokes, and all the other all-metal wheels I've seen have flat ribs/spokes. Big difference in machining or milling!

2.5D CNC mill should be able to handle it, I'd think.

Couldn't agree more Ember, I was just thinking about this the other day that it would be great to have a minilite aluminum wheel. Hopefully somebody will do them soon enough.

Remember wheels are sold as pairs. USD 10.00 per pair is still cheaper than the average.

Dunno about this Lynne....a BWA wheel with a nice resin insert (minilite or other) is hard to beat

I'll chime in, they do need someone to make MiniLites. They were popular on so many different cars. A lot of the T/A cars ran them back in the day. They are a classic design wheel. Inserts just don't get it for me. BWA's are nice wheels, hard to find tires that fit them correctly also. Sloting Plus are listening to this? :)
