I have one Jag that would not give me a good gloss finish no matter how much I drowned it in clear. I finished up wet sanding it smooth with 2000 grade wet'n'dry then buffed it through the 3 grades of Tamiya polishing compound. It's now mirror finish. But still not as glassy as Dave's 2 pack urethane finish.

Very hard to sand this one all over without losing detail with too many additional coats. There are lots of louvres and Pyro's details are easily lost. Beyond the sag, the finish is great. It looks like a candy (no it's not red).

Where is the dribble/sag? Should be able to just sand that spot and polish it out.

It's on the door panel. By sand and polish, do you mean wax or compound?

Polishing compound. If you have a light touch T-cut will do a good job. It is a cut and polish compound for auto paints.

Not what i expected at all, but it suits it handsomely. The colour makes it look more a purposeful tourer and much less a frivolous cocktail chaser. Beautiful work, just as we have come to expect from you.

What glue(s) do you use on the static kits Peter?

I use a variety. If I can tack with cyanocrylc, I'll do that. If a less forgiving area, I'll use plastic cement (Testors). I then re-inforce with two part epoxy for strength.

I've got some MicroMark "Same stuff" to try, which seems to be a solvent weld. Glues always seem to be such a bit question mark in slot car building.
