Nor Cal Mike touched on the really new feature of this chassis but did not elaborate. The front axle rotates in two nylon bushings which in turn slide vertically in slots in the uprights. There are grub screws in the uprights which allows adjustment of the ride height. If the two bushings are not at exactly the same height the axle binds creating drag. I suppose you can remove the bushings and then the front axle will have more float if that is what the driver desires. I made sure both front wheels touched the test block surface and then checked to see if they rotated freely. It is possible that during a deslot if you don't have the bushings pushed all the way to the bottom of their respective slot one can travel up and cause the axle to bind. I don't know if it was intended that the front axle should float but I think I will set the ride height and then glue the bushings to the slide, or remove them all together and allow the front axle to flop around as with previous set ups.

Good review as always Harry. Because we are readying our house for company coming to visit for Thanksgiving week I have been unable to do much with my car which arrived in Thursday's mail. I did get a chance to pull the body last night to give here a closer inspection. The front axle definitely is a little cocked as Modeler Bob suggest it might be. That is an easy fix. As to the wider tire possibility it may be possible to shoehorn a 15 X10 hubless wheel in there with some enterprising modifications but certainly no larger than that as far as I can see. I think that if the wheels were moved outboard as far as they cab go without rubbing on the body that will be good'nuff for me.

All in all, I really like that this product is out there. I am now wanting to get a white kit that I would modify to look like an earlier M8 privateer version with a simple spoiler rather than the wing mounted on fins.

I too am considering getting the white kit and modifying it enough to resemble a M8a with a spoiler instead of the wing. Will paint it dark blue or red.
