Scalextric Dodge Challenger Sam Posey - Arrived here - Photo

Scalextric modeled the car after the 1970 Mid Ohio race.. and at that race the air dam was red.
The "Classic Wax Challenger" sticker was missing from the front fender as well.
No idea why they would pick that one race to copy the car from instead of the silver spoilered version..

Posey started 8th and finished 5th that day.

Winner was Parnelli Jones, followed by George Follmer and Mark Donohue..

Interestingly, Maurice Carter finished 4th ahead of Posey in his self sponsored #88 Camaro and
he came from the 19th starting spot. It was his best career finish in Trans Am..

Scalextric makes that car too..

I'm actually hoping Scalextric releases his car from the 1972 Season..
He had switched to the newer body style.. This is from Lime Rock in '72
