Hi Chris...use a parma contrller it has a brake wire. I run a boat battery for power because it is a deep cycle type and i run a charger at @amps when racing. Also you should go with a four and a quarter in spacing because most cars run three and a quarter wide.in one twentyforth scale. Hope this helps

I guess I should have asked what Ohm on the Parma's. I have some 25's on the other track but seems I read somewhere that wont work well with bigger motors

Controllers will depend on motor . 16d's would take a 2 ohm . Parma makes a good TURBO controller.

Chris..sorry i should have told you ohms.we race the reality raceway modifieds and super mods. With an H&R 40.000rpm.motorin both cars my track is just a little longer than yours.we also run the parma fcr with a hardbody with the 501 16 d all on battery power. You need to get a controller that you that works best for you the lower the ohms the faster the motor reacts to the trigger. If you are going to set up house controllers i would go with the 4ohm because mostly everyone can drive with that ohm setup. It works good for seasoned racers as well as a new guy getting into the hobby. If you have any questions feel free to call me.

Tony, thanks for the info. I never got that Ohms=reaction time thru my head till you put it the way you did. I'm going to set the drivers stations up with brass studs. Buying 4 controllers for family, me and few buddies that come over. Only know about three people locally that race 1/24, and they have thier own.

Like the look / color of the surface! If you are running rubber/urethane tires, it will be interesting to see how quickly it takes rubber and how it changes the look!
(you guys are going to have me building my own track yet seeing all of these!)

Rubber tires from H&R chassis. I only have four 1/24 scale cars right now. I did a few laps with 1/32 car on paul gage tires. It stuck great. I'm going to put a 100 laps per lane in this weekend then see what it looks like. Already I'm getting a bit of rubber and paint dust on the chassis.
Fun running with 10volts on the pyramid, it's just fast enough to slide in corners yet seems "realistic" speed on the straights. 12 is almost too much for the cars and motors I have.
Track building is very enjoyable in of itself. And not that hard with a good router and bit. The next one I do, I will defiantly invest in Luf's router guide though.

Looks pretty good to me. Nice job.

The texture will wear off over time. It lasts quite awhile, but eventually you will smooth it out. Had a lane here we tested.
