The difficulty is postage. And knowing what to get currently. Wish I could get this stuff in town.

Possibly. I finished up buying the last lot from MicroMark when I placed an order for a few tools, because no one that I tried here had any left in stock. The K&S brass that they all sell comes from over there anyway.

You'd have a much better idea of what I'd need than I. Going to check local sources to see if I can get 1/16 brazing rod.

Meanwhile, I was digging through some legacy junk (Officially tools and such from Dad's garden shed. Unofficially a lot of old broken and rusty bits and jars of assorted screws and nails recycled because the might be handy sometime) and found a bag full of lead sheet and sticks of 60/40 solder. Got enough of the suff to last 2 lifetimes.

It LIVES!!!

Yup. It lives and breathes. And most importantly WORKS!!

I sorted the guide mount with some rod wrapped around a bit of tube and soldered back along the main rails.

SRP 9t pinion, NSR 27t gear, Slot.it short shank guide and rear axle, Champion oilites, MB Slot braid, SlotingPlus wire, BWA wheels and Paul Gage tyres. I finished up cutting the rear rail as it was stopping the motor sitting in far enough to solder to the rails.

I'll have a bit of grinding to do on the tyres for clearance.

The chassis runs quite ok. Very light and quiet. Next job is to clean up some of the interior of the shell and work out how I'm going to mount it.

Definitely a huge thrill to put it on the track and see it move. Might even have been bigger than winning my first proxy round.
