Wow, what a difference. I was going to leave my Challenger alone but having second thoughts after seeing those.
Gotta get stuck into a certain special Camaro first.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm not sure how they will run as I have no track, so I just go on instinct and past experiences. I never had to modify interiors before like I did on these. Usually there is some room but these are very tight so I sanded the bottom of the cougar until I could almost see through it. The Challenger was a little more extensive. I cut the bottom off completely about 1/4" and glued the seats which were sanded flat and the locating pins removed to the chassis. :)

Nice! :text-coolphotos: I had a thought this morning about how you never hear of people lowering Scaley's early Camaro and Mustang releases yet these two new releases require lowering. Makes me wonder what Scalextric was thinking when they designed these cars. It's like suddenly they went all Carrera on us. :violin: Nice cars though. I am glad that we have them in the market place. :text-thankyouyellow:

And Mike, we ran those Mustangs and Camaros for years, including Enduros, and I don't think anyone ever brought one that wasn't lowered for scale effect, which greatly improves the handling, but the rules precluded the belly-dragging unrealistic lowering that some people do to slot cars. What we found was that people began to specialize in either Camaro or Mustang, because the techniques differ somewhat. The biggest problem we had was that some guys didn't reinforce the bumper attachments with hot glue, and they fell off a lot.

I'm a wheel nut. I admit it. For the Cougar I used Sloting Plus America's, 17X10mm rears, and 17X8.5mm fronts. For the Challenger I used CB Designs black anodized stock car wheels 15X10mm rears, and 15X8mm fronts. Along with the Super Tires Yellow Dogs that fit those rims, and Slot It. Zero Grip fronts. :)
