well guys, around here, the preparation of the first ProNoMag car is going on.
The body is already sitting on the chassis and i think that the ground clearance is just right, what do you say?







of course there are drawbacks, like an unaligned motor axle:



when i had to use the box column drill as a milling machine:





next thing - check the height of the motor axle again, hope its aligned now, than it should be ready for the first test laps.
Next decision - what car else will run? Maybe the thingie? I think i will drop a new motor into it :)

i think i´ll use the decals from the kit, if i can apply them - the kit is the one with the red stripes and #68

the other possibility that i´ve been thinking of, i as fantasy paint scheme, red with white double stripe ...

Just a point about getting your cars to Peter. I used Fedex to send my cars to America and they were there in less than 24 hours, and did not cost much more than normal postage from the US costs now, so worth checking it out.

Well, I started workingon a few cars this last weekend, i am afraid I won't be sending anything Really groundbreaking or crazy cool, because . . . well, For several reasons; First, I have not quite got everything situated since the move, I have some tools at my old house and some @ the new house and invariably the one's I need are at the house I am not at!!! Second, I have to search sometimes to find things; so it's kind of a process of building and digging and unpacking and it's kind of slow! Third, I realized that I already have about a dozen builds going and nothing takes up space like an unfinished build so I am going to focus on finishing things that I have started already. Lastly, Some girl blew through a left turn right in front of us a few weeks ago and totaled one of our cars and I have only just replaced it so I am a couple weeks behind on this and there is no time for extra compications of creativity! Sadly :-(

Team Puddle Dude Racing finally decided on the 2nd car to run in this years ProNoMag: Porsche 962, Kyosho DSlot body on a PDR chassis, type 3, the motor pod chassis. Fitted with CarGo tires on the rear and running really nice.If the Lancia doesn´t finish (hey, it´s an italian car ;) ), all the hopes will lie on this one. I have to change the gears on the Lancia, the test laps alreay chewed down the crown unequally, it has contact to the pinion on only the half of a turn :/

had a small test session today, trying to figure out which car should run in this years ProNoMag.

First cars on the track have been the MCA Centenaires, not bad, but not fast enough...



Next ones were the RD resin GT40 and the vaced formed GT40 and 917. Not bad, the 917 got laps constantly under 9 seconds...



Finally some laps with the 962 just for comparison ...







So, in the end the timer clocked a 8.56 for the 962. Still a way to go for the 8.301 from Ted´s McLaren, but really good :)
