A guy told me today that the Carrera drag racing Camaros from a few years back are going for $100-$125. I have all three and I don't care a thing about keeping them, but good grief, I never thought they were that popular. If its true, maybe I will sell them.

Anything that is no longer in production, if popular at all, seems to increase in value as time goes by. I have not seen any Carrera camaros going for those prices but I have not been specifically looking for them.

I just peeked at Ebay, and I saw them everywhere from new listings at $80 to ongoing auctions as high as $149. People are crazy. Anybody want these three for $100 each? LOL.

Rob, I've sold the Brutus car in the past for 80 bucks, and I've seen them hit triple digits several times. 125 seems high, but it's not out of the question. :)

Is true, was looking at them on US EBay the other day....

Carrera Chevelle street cars are another thats on the move.

....and my favourite, the Carrera classic Nascars, they are going up in value quite nicely as well.

I find it all a little weird, the Aussie Scalextric V8 Supercars went crazy over here, thats where I made the real dollars when I sold off my shelf queens awhile back.

Makes up for the ones I did my arse on :)

Will stick to having models I actually use now......

What the hell, Rob... You are getting into drag racing- Do you want to buy the three of them? I can send pictures. I'd rather some HRW guys got them than bother with Ebay.

I ended up deciding on 1/24th drags, really big numbers up here that race it, plastic chassis cars are pretty much dead in my local area.

You'll get rid of them though mate going by what I saw on EBay :)

Wow... I can see why they're sought after. Those are cool little cars! I really like the little red one.

FWIW:

I always thought it would be fun to have a 1/8 mile 1/32 drag strip and race "door slammer" type cars. Those would definitely be in that category! Alas, no space for even a 1/8 mile (20') drag strip.
