Revell Mono Snaptite kits

Postby Reslotted » Thu Feb 13, 2014 6:41 am

Harry Slotter recently asked about how well RM Snaptite kits fit on Pioneer chassis.

Well the answer is pretty good -

The wheel base is spot on (well for the Camaro anyway, can't say about the mustang) but I'll probably have to take 20 thou off the end of the rear axles for the track width.

Hope that helps. :D

Yes I'm doing another Trans Am - so watch this space.

Doesn't get much more convenient than that! :)

Most of these 'pony'/muscle cars had the same wheelbase, 108inches, and a similar floorpan style. It made sense to use the same chassis from the Mustang for the Camaro. It helps consistency in racing and for those of you that tune up a chassis it means you can swap out the chassis onto another body shell to ring the changes visually without all the time and expense of starting over.
