Cap'n Jodi got it for me for Christmas. Having it around to watch anytime along with "Grand Prix" and "Le Mans" is awesome. :dance:

Agree agree agree really good movie , Ron Howard must have spent a fortune getting it done, but well worth it imho. My wife enjoyed it too, so it is now innthe library along with Lemans and the ever popular Grand Prix
I followed up by ordering the movie " 1 " from Amazon. It is the same era but real live footage with some of the greats being interviewed. Also a very good addition to the racing film library.

If you havent heard of it , its worth a check.

Plus its nice to see a current film that's not either a remake of an earlier film, a filmic adaptation of a successful tv series/comic/game, or yet another addition to an already worn out franchise.

Yup. I also liked the Hitchhiker scene. That bloke who played Lauda was uncanny. Good Job.

I saw the movie on a wet Wednesday afternoon while on vacation in Florida last September, and would watch it again. The casting and/or hair/make-up was good, both the leads bore a passing resemblance to Hunt and Lauda. My brother's wife, who had no prior interest in F1 (other than making the sandwiches and packing the picnic basket for our trips to Silverstone) also enjoyed the film, as it wasn't all just about the racing.
