Yes, Larry will be missed.
In the past 12 years or so I have spent many hours with him on the phone. Seemed to be a weekly thing and the fun we had getting to know him is priceless.
He was an old school racer to say the least. From Sprint cars to USAC and even Cup, he was in it. I remember one time him calling and he had people in the background saying hello to me. Each time Larry would ask: "Guess who that was?"
I had no idea but to let you know the list, he was at the NASCAR awards banquet. Many a driver you all know hollered at me that day thanks to him. He knew them all.
He loved his T-Jets and HO scale. These little cars took the place of the 1:1 for him in his later years and he appreciated them a great deal. He had a passion for home racing that helped define HRW in the early days.
Thanks all for the comments. It is a sad day to lose such a great person, but we will keep on honoring him everyday.
