TGIF Special visit

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Mar 28, 2014 6:17 am

Another week in the books. And it might be slow here and there, but there is a lot going on.

Finished up the old skunkworks and just in time. Have a special VIP from Derby City arriving this evening for a night of fun. Going to start things off with a healthy POW FATTY on the grill and then time to rub fenders :)

New releases are slow this time of year, but a few are coming in and look for our reviews if interested.

Working on another pit row article, and hopefully it helps a few.

Hope all of you have a fun and safe weekend.

That's going to be a good time. Mark is one of our best here.

I hope to finally set up my writing area this weekend and get started drilling myself into shape to finish up a few books in the next couple of years. That is, if I don't have to stop everything and do plumbing...

Well... His Lordship and a friend departed early this morning bows in hand for a hunting day trip. Hope he has a successful one. He's not been out for ages and the freezers are quite empty. The plan was bambi stalking in the morning and then depending on success and sitings maybe scope out some goats. Actually, the goat numbers seem to be down this year, which is a good thing.

Me? I'd best get back to cleaning and painting windows.

That looks like a delicious way to clog up plumbing! Gimmie!

I wanted to clear the decks before starting this plumbing nightmare, so I finished building the consoles and trays for the track at long last. The last wiring, the last carpentry, the last soldered connections, the last conductivity checks- everything. And it works perfectly. Tomorrow, I can be a dummy with tools again on the plumbing, but tonight, I am the king!

Dang Harry! That looks so delicious. I could probably force myself to eat some, then eat some more. I have to get someone to watch my pups so I can go have some fun. Everyone have great weekend. :)

Have fun guys! Give Mark a 'Hello!'
I've got to replace some lights in the garage and hopefully fire up the road course for some VMG racing with Dad this weekend, we've not raced for several weeks now.

Hey wait a minute! Lynne, did you build those mullioned windows?!? Did you peel the paint, too? What have you done, girl?

The window are laser cut card that Sam's World in Miniature did to my design. They are for a diorama commission that has been in work for seemingly ages. The paint work is mine.

It's Michigan 24 weekend, so while Kurt's racing, I'll be hanging out and shopping with Dickie's wife. lol

It's Michigan 24 weekend, so I'll be doing the usual -- driving slow, getting in the way, being a general nuisance.
