MRRC and SRP

Postby smithspeedway » Sat Mar 29, 2014 6:37 pm

In case you haven't seen what MRRC and Slot Racing Products have been up to, check them out. They have a line of SRP motors from 15k rpm up to 32k rpm, S can, 13D, Long Can, and Slim line. They also have axles varying in length by 5mm increments. Gears, tires, a regular hot rod shop. On top of that, they also adjustable wheel base plastic and metal chassis. We're excited to have this kind of variety for 1/32 builders.

Are the axle sizes a true 3/32 or slightly smaller...this would include alloy hubs and gears too I guess?

I'll have to measure the axle. These two items do not include anything though. It's just a chassis. They also have complete kits. We're stocking this one:

The Clubman kit, which is the one with the metal chassis, works out pretty good value, I think. The axles in it are a true 3/32, so I would assume that the ones in the plastic kit are too.

What makes me the happiest about this, is that we used to sell the MRRC Sebrings without bodies a few years ago. They were hard to get (slow communication) and replacement parts were iffy. At some point, when the company went through it latest re-organization, I was asked about what I wanted to see. I gave the guy my big wish list... lots of standardized replacement parts and options, a range of motors, wheels, etc., and an easy to navigate to website to find all the stuff. They certainly over-delivered. Our niche is small. We cater to builders and folks looking for a platform to hang their Boss Bodies on. I know SlotIt has a great product, and a great selection. Our people just don't want to spend that much. MRRC has nailed it for the folks we hang with in terms of quality, price, and selection.

Note - I am not a paid company shill. I am just really happy with the direction that they've taken, and they've delivered everything we've asked for. Kudos are in order.
