Bob, Here is another cheaper possibility. It is a set of Carrera wheel & axle sets for their Classic Nascars, $6.95 front and back is cheaper than the Slot.it wheels and you don't need any inserts. It does not include tires but you would have to get those anyway to fit the Slot.it plastic wheels.

Use the entire assembly in your Artin chassis. The rear axle should pretty much be a snap in. The little bit trickier part is pulling one of the front wheels off of the splined axle so you can remove the bushings and slit the axle through the front axle slots in the Artin chassis. It can be done but just take it easy so as not to break the wheel. Another trick I found with these wheels is that you can use slicks for the Modern Nascars on these wheels. That will give you a wider, lower profile tire. Or you can use the classic tires if you want the taller skinny look.
