Well, guess my answer is not very detailed is it? I was told the same story about the braid...and the cost increase in the future.
Just figured Larry wanted to know if he could get braid. :) As far as motors, etc...did not ask.

Don't know about that rumor. I've been using left over braid from my routed track. Don't throw the old parmas out. Take apart the brass fitting and insert apiece of the track braid. Works great, lasts longer.
