Up here in Buffalo there is a Friday Night 1/32 NASCAR league every week !
They run on 200 foot/6 lane/analog Carrera track. 12 guys last Friday participated.
I have stopped by to watch for a bit. Most of those guys race with me in our Scaley Trans-Am Thursday night races.
I am thinking they run 30,000 RPMS on Friday. We run 18,000 stock Scaeys on Thursday.

Right now the weather in Florida is hot! Dang hot to be more specific. Since our club is non-air conditioned, I am sure there won't be much Scalextric nor Carrera Historic NASCAR racing going on.

But that does not mean we can't start getting ready for next year.

I had bought a body, a Ford Thunderbird with the #99 on it. Jeff Burton's old car. I do think it's time to have a Scalextric body on a wire and brass chassis,

More to follow.

Check over in the Scratchbuilt section for more information.

The early SCX cars are not nearly as good as their last offerings sadly. I love these things too. I think the Slotburger edition may christen the PDR when it opens up again.

That car was the only running mate to the first Jeff Gordon car made.

SCX paid big bucks back then to get the Gordon license. Because of that, his was the only car made aside from that generic racer shown. They are likely some of the poorest running models you will pull the trigger on, but an interesting part of semi-modern slot history.
