Been a long week but we are plugging away.

So what are your plans for the weekend?

Simple: Watch racing, tinker with slot cars, go and play with my little toy cars, then go pick up my grandkids.

Not a very good week for us, wifes job ended, shes out of work

but on the positive side my boss is helping out by having me work Sat. :violence-smack:

I did get 6 sets of PG Kurtis Kraft Tires, hope to have 8 new wheels done :banana-dance:

Today starts my 3 day weekend...has been a long week though it seems. Going to Home Depot later today to get some wood to make a nice border around the track and some custom driver/sanding stations. Then tuning on some cars and running laps.

Not a good week here either, one of my wife's sisters had a heart attack Sunday night and passed away on Wednesday. I hope to get some tuning/playing time in sometime this weekend though.

Temps near 90 so I'll be looking for shade.

This has been my first week of "part-time" in conjunction with waiting for Social Security to kick in. I'm actually glad to be at work, so I can rest up a bit!
We did get her Mountaineer sold (as we speak she's waiting on the folks to come pick it up).
Spent yesterday mowing and trimming to the tune of 4 hours (have the sunburned neck to prove it) and getting a piece of furniture to help "stage" the house.....(I don't understand that at all....either you want to buy it or you don't).
Going spend tomorrow cleaning out the old 92 Ford conversion van so the tow company can take it away on Monday.
Then Sunday continue going through boxes in the basement in the ongoing "ship lightening" operation.

Sarge, I gotta say, the older you get the more important the things that surround you in life. We moved last time at age 51, and we were astonished at the things in our house that our sons wanted. None of the heirlooms we sacrificed so much to protect, not the childhood memories we thought they wanted, but the little-est, nothingness, things they loved as kids. We still have the heirlooms, they don't care about them. So, who knows? One of these days we'll sell off a barn full of stuff they don't care about and we don't need.

Fun week of dealing with bureaucracy here, trying to get business premises sorted. Council is doing a great job of negating every suitable place I find.

Cold, wet, windy and miserable outside. Might have to crank up fire place and watch some films later. Got F-One in the mail yesterday.

Hopefully battle through the deluge to the toy room later.
