Looking for good home track controllers.........

Postby manchvegasracer » Thu Jul 10, 2014 6:15 pm

Hi everyone. I am in the beginnings of a routed oval/road course. I am wondering what you all think would be a good controller to have for kids/guests. I will need 3 of them.

Any help/recommendations would be appreciated.

The PARMA Econo is hard to beat for that purpose. Just grab some 45 OHM models and let them have at it.

I've run Parma 45 ohms and the PM Silver series. Both are great, but I'm still rocking the Parmas.

I'm going to go against the flow. I run the baseline Professor Motor controllers. A little bit dearer than the Parma option, but less prone to burnout when being used by kids and novices who are quite inclined to pootle around a track with the controller at a constant half to two thirds power.

The other plus is that they can have variable power or brakes added to them at a later date if you so desire.

I have a Parma Eco for my kids and I run the professor motors that ember is talking about. I prefer the proffesor motor one hands down but they are almost double the money. The Parma does the trick don't get me wrong!

I'm also using Parma Eco version. For now 45ohm, but I think about going to 60ohm.

I agree with Ember. I have used my Professor Motor controllers since I started Racing. I have only had to send two in for repairs. The cost was minimal.
I have used these same controllers for the past seven years. My Parma controllers only lasted three years before they needed repairs.
Don't get me wrong, both are good only Professor Motor controllers are better.
Why do I generally agree with Ember?
