Some future 1/32 bomber builds....

Postby BRP32 » Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:13 pm

Here are a few future 1/32 bombers I am getting ready to build.

2 '55 chevys and a '57 Ford.

I have chassis ready for 2 out of 3 of them currently.

Just need to paint and decal two of them and chassis the third.

More '50s bombers for my vintage dirt tracker class.

More to come in the future.

Hi Jeff!

I'm slowly easing myself back into the builds.

I've had these lingering for quite some time now.

Time to get em' done!!!

Hi Mark,

Your right on.

The '55 chevys and the '57 Ford are snap tite kits from years past.

I wish these companies would reissue them again......

They make great bomber/stockers!

I love these old '50s stock cars!

Here are a few more I have in my stable.

Good on ya, Wayne. Has to be good therapy putting a new sanding drum in the ol' Dremel and grinding away.

What chassis are you going to use?

Chris.

Many of the SnapTite kits have been reissued in blister packs, but for some reason a '55 Chevy or '57 Ford have not been released. At one time Shoreline Model Raceways had a class just for the '55 Chevy body on a Slot.it HRS chassis, now that the Chevy bodies are out of production we also allow other bodies.

A picture is worth 1000 words.....

I can't take credit for this idea.

I picked up the blue chevy off my friend Rusty (Ourwayband) a good while back.

He used a scaley irl chassis under the '55 chevy body.

These work out awesome with a little tweaking.

I've used this chassis idea under my '50s bombers ever since....

I have found if you put the scaley T/A wheels and tires on this chassis it lowers them down closer to the track with more magnetic down force and they will run the same if not better than scaley T/A cars.

I like running mine without magnets though like dirt trackers.....

They are soo fun to build!!!!!

Enjoy!

It is an honor to own her!
