Barn Find racers find their way to Ohio!

The big ol' transport full of '40 Ford goodness that rolled into Ohio made it's way to the track at Mark's Model World this week, for a run on the big ol' 144 foot, 8-lane UK Black Road course!



I have to say - this is one GREAT looking field of cars!!!

Qualifying was performed on three lanes, with the best lap time out of ten in each lane being recorded and used for determining the average qualifying time and associated position.

Manning the triggers were:
- myself
- local racer Alex Curlutu
- Slot Therapist

Great news. You gotta watch that Shotgun car...I think there is some scale nitrous in there somewhere but Curly couldn't find it :)

These cars are definitely making for good entertainment here in Ohio guys!
(The local racers have been digging the modeling skills as well!)

We did have one minor "casualty" during the action...
Lane rotations had PastorBubba's 777 machine starting in the green lane then going to red and finally finishing in yellow - part way through the run in red lane, the car started to act a bit "doggy" coming off the corners - while loosing ALL of it's braking performance, and at about the one minute mark it came to a stop. :(
Inspection found the pinion had come loose and walked in toward the motor!
A quick soldering took car of the issue and returned it to a strong performer for it's final lane - yellow. :handgestures-thumbup:
