100 Years at Indy proxy rules

Well we have established that this coming year will be the 100th running of the Indy 500.
My thoughts for this race leaned towards the early years of Indy, Pre wing cars, with lots of ingenuity instead of cubic dollars.
That being said, this is what I came up with for rules.
1.Any pre wing 1969 or earlier body. Plastic, resin, but NO lexan.
2.Motors will be of the slimcan variety with a maximum RPM of 18,000 as stated by the manufacturer.
3.Tires, rubber or urethane
4. Chassis, anything goes here whatever winds your rubber band is fine with me.
5. gearing, 9/27 or any combo that comes up with the same ratio.
6. Cars must try to appear as Authentic as possible, but be mindful of de slots and shipping these fragile cars! it is a proxy.
I would like to set the deadline for these cars for the middle of May 2016. I will host the first round at Crossroads speedway, and any other tracks wanting to host will need to be of the Oval variety only.
Multiple entries welcomed!
There will be a concourse judging at my track as well.
