Hey Slick, How period correct do we have to be with the wheels? Can we use CBD stock car wheels or do they need to be steelies. They don't have the size I want in steelies. Eights and elevens no tens.

I thought of that too. But don't have the old plastics to cut down anymore and don't know where to get inserts. I can use the eights just not the tire I wanted.
Okay no problem plan B.

Thank Ya!!

I'm in #43 Petty Plymouth not sure if it will be a Superbird or the 67 Belvidere. I'll build both and submit the fastest. If you need another track I have a Scaley oval I run the Forums Cup proxy on. Are we limited to the number of cars or not????

Dave, My Artin Oval will accept commercial grade 1/24 jett flags without trimming. Should handle anything out there.

Dave / All -
With M/T Resins suspending sales for the time being, is there another source for the M/T-5 motors or do we need to look at going with something like the H&R Hawk like the Mavericks have instead?
(I say this as I am assuming not everyone has ordered up their parts yet)
Thoughts?

Slot Car Corner still has them.

But if folks want to change, no problem here.

I would like to ask if American Iron resin bodies would also be acceptable, Ray has the fury body as well, and has no advantage over any of the plastic bodies that i can see. If not, thats cool.I believe ray also wants in on the fun run!

Harry / all -
Didn't realize the SCC had the M/T-5's (went brain dead there apparently!)
So it looks like it's a non-issue.
Sorry 'bout that! :)

I have all parts in house. Just need to get with it. :D I like the idea of the MT5. Something different to try. :handgestures-thumbup:

I think I will have to pass on this one. The chassis would be no problem, I have one already built that would work, but I have no body of this type,(A Red Byron 40 ford coupe won't work will it?) and would have to buy a motor.

I think my attention is required to get my Nascar proxy car on its way and get the P-BOP going. I am also interested in the next Autograss and a 356 Tub proxy if those happen.

Sorry,

After writing the above, I did some research. An NC-2 at 12 v is almost the exact same performance as the M/T 5 according to Robert Livingston's motor list. I have a couple of those if they could be subbed. I still have to find a body, but can ask around the club to see if anyone has one.
