I do like the idea of a one make proxy. It keeps things close.

The WRP that I've participated in for the last 3 years uses SCX 4WD rally cars as a base because there were many released with the same motor. This motor restriction together with a control tyre make for a really close and exciting proxy series.

Personally I'd love to see a series using Ninco classics and a low powered motor. There's heaps of scope available to those who fancy a challenge to get a Cobra or Healey running as well as a Jag XK120 or Corvette. But a lot of folks here seem to have a problem with the price of Ninco cars.

But the price of the newer releases is coming down. And it is effecting the costs of ones before it slowly.
I was one of those that had issues with the over-inflated price. Now I am enjoying the more reasonable price structure.

Porsche 356 from 1 year ago? $70.00 was a deal.

Today Professor Motor has them back in stock for $43.99

BRS has Healey's for 39 and change.

That makes a big difference for folks that are on tighter budgets and still want to enjoy these cars.

With the new pricing, if it stays intact, would make a NINCO based race more affordable and more attractive to the newcomer. It's working on me :)

We're still dealing with AUD 79 for standard Ninco and AUD 59 for the Ninco1 range.

Come to that, there's another idea.... A Ninco1 bash. I know I grabbed a bundle of them cheap for house cars when I was trying to get "Room to Race" off the ground. You could restrict it to Mustangs, Camaros and 'Vetted if you wanted. Again these are robust and simple cars for beginners to play with non-mag.
