In track testing, the Porsche 917/10 (brass chassis) is about 0.20 sec/lap slower than the McLaren M8D (RTR Slot.It chassis). Of course, the McLaren clear just 1.0mm and the Porsche clears 3/32"......so, there's a little bit of a difference there............

I changed down the motor in the Porsche from an NSR 25k rpm to a Piranha 21.5K rpm and got an improvement in both times and drivability. We'll see how they do when they get to Todd. Fingers crossed for the brass chassis car................ :pray:

That brass chassis is a beauty, Allan. It looks like you have been building those for years. I have never had much success with soldering piano wire, so I usually stick to brass for my chassis.

This CanAm is going to be a great proxy. I was in my early 20s living in Toronto when the CanAm cars raced at Mosport. There was always a lot of hype about the races, although sadly, I never got to attend one. They have always been my favourite series from the past.
