Thanks Dave for kind words about my car and for keeping us on schedule. I can't believe it's performing so well as I literally spent 3 days building it out of mostly spare parts. I had seen quickcars early postings about the proxy and got a body from kidvoltage on trade and then I thought the proxy had died. A week before the cars were due I stumbled back across the proxy and decided to try and do an entry. I took the body and started comparing it to all my cars to see what might fit under the Tub. After trying quite a few cars and various chassis I had laying about I picked up my Ninco 934 and decided it could be made to work. A quick internet search found a source for a chassis which arrived on Monday the week the cars were scheduled to arrive at Monte's. I had to shorten the wheelbase and the overall length along with the width but basically a pretty simple affair. The rest was figuring what would fit and could be made to work. The windows are an A&W Rootbeer bottle and part of the interior was out of an old Monogram Ferrari. I normally run a 10T pinion and a 26T crown with these motors but I didn't have a pinion and had to use a substitute gear set up which may become ny new standard after seeomg how it performs.
Congrats to Harry and Sadco for the other poduim spots, 2nd to 4th were just feet apart, how exciting. It's always more fun when the racing is close. Now on to bibbster's for the finale.
Regards
Rico
