Ventura Alfa -
Yours isn't the only one that wants to act like it is an extra from the movie
Fast and Furious - Tokyo Drift :)
After I trued my rear tires down to something comparable to the fronts, I went from tip happy to drift happy...
I got mine back to something a bit more reasonable by adding some weight to the middle section of the chassis in front of the motor and then a little bit to the top of the motor - both of which helped seemed to notably help the rear bite a bit and calmed things down. (it seemed to prefer this set up over having the weight along side of the motor for some reason?)
The good news is, set up like this, the car is VERY easy to drive! :banana-dance:
I didn't think to run mine around the track "stock" to see how close I came to getting it back to the mag type times, but it currently runs in the high 9.xx second type lap times which is fairly respectable.
(For reference, a '69 Scalextric Camaro running stock, with the magnet typically is in the low 8.xx on this track)
I did snap some shots to share with the group showing my lead placement along with some general shots of the car before it was boxed up for shipment and have included those below. :)
For reference - my car as shipped:
Weight: 104.1grams
Min clearance: .055" (under the protruding mag pocket at the back of the car)
Lead placement:

Now the "glamor" shots... :)

Looking forward to seeing it with the rest of the field!
