Hmmm, car has traction for a few laps then loses grip? Not a clue. I believe they are new BWA tires I was going to use on the abandoned VRAA car, sanded to 1000 grit wet/dry smoothness. Maybe they aren't smooth enough and are picking up dust or rubber from the other tires? Doesn't really matter, this goes into my books as a totally just for fun, no pressure proxy. I figured sponge tires would be the fastest solution, but I didn't think the car wouldn't look right, and that was half the fun...fat drivers on skinny tires after all!

I think that Jeremy has the best philosophy- build a car that anyone can drive. That's how you get new folks interested in the hobby and keep the smiles on the faces.

As for my car, even though I went with skinny tires, I went with ones that had enough grip to run up walls. Couple that with the beast of a motor that is in mine and I guess driving it is like trying to control a 427 Cobra. I didn't even think that sliding in the turns would be a good idea, which is pretty stupid on my part considering these are dirt track cars. Oh well. At least my drivers arms haven't fallen off.
