Fellow forum members APalmer and Slot Therapist assisted and after some warm up and laps to get familiar with the handling characteristics of the cars we set forward with qualifying.
(note all tires were "re-taped" prior to the qualifying)
I ran the "red" lane, APalmer ran the "white" and Slot Therapist ran the "green".
Qualifying was done as a 2 minute run per lane - with the Trackmate software keeping track of the "fastest lap time" for each car on each lane.
To help average the difference between lanes/driving styles/etc, the "fastest lap time" from each lane (red, white, green) was averaged together - creating the values and associated qualifying position listed below.
We will be running the qualifying on StudioRS's car (with new D3D replacement guide) at the start of activities this Wednesday and will follow directly afterwards with racing. We are all looking forward to some good racing and a great time as these cars are a LOT of fun to run with each one having it's own distinct personality!
Unfortunately, we won't be able to broadcast live - but will definitely have pictures to share and possibly some video as well. If all goes according to plan, the results of our fun, er I mean race, will be posted here Thursday evening... :)
