Thanks for the calculations, Bob. The top four cars in Class B were within 50 feet of each other, it was that close. We raced groups of four, changing lanes, then the next four. There were five cars left for the last round, so we rotated them in for five heats. These fastest cars were all racing each other in the last heats. It was amazing racing.

We are taking next week off to rest our feet and trigger fingers. The next race is at Dougtona on the 1st of December and the final at the Targa probably the Friday of that week.

We are still awaiting some prizes that were to be sent, so I'm not sure when the cars will be mailed. I'm thinking after the worst of the holiday rush.

The A class is all but sewn up, barring some form of problem, but there are several cars that could win the B class.

OK, I sent one in with my car, but I don't think there was a requirement for one from the entrants in this proxy series.

Nice clip of a beautifully prepared Chaparral 2F, here on Luf's Targa, but now fresh from its second podium finish. Well done, Adrienne.

The Chappy has a very tired Ninco NC-1 motor, it was the only one we had available at the time of building the car, so on the faster tracks it is in trouble.

But we managed to find a set of the original grey-dust Ortmanns for the rear end, and that is the real secret I think.

I printed Doug's fabulous photos of our two cars and have them on display with a painting Adrienne made for me for a birthday a few years back:



She loves painting cars,either as subjects like this, or even painting clear bodies for my 1/24 retro racing cars.

Both Adrienne's #222 and Dennis' #224 entries were absolutely gorgeous. That 2E is next up on my want list because of this race. And I've read that these things can be tuned to be real screamers.
