And here is one of those freaky things that happen, that continue to remind me why I wear safety glasses at home (not just at work)...

Was working on doing some polishing on the chassis build and had the commutator on my Dremel blow apart at full song! The piece of commutator took out the bottoms of the brushes and sent the pieces flying out of the vent holes and off my glasses (thankfully the comm piece was too big to leave through the vent and just bounced around in there tearing things up instead). (EEP!)
Thankfully, no damage to anything/anyone other than my trusty / faithful Dremel. Going to see if I can get replacement arm and brushes for it as everything else is still in good serviceable condition... (even though it has tons of hours on it)
If I can't - it looks like it will be Dremel shopping for me this week. :(
In the mean time, it looks like I will have to use my 1/4" drill to keep pushing forward today.
(Not the type of "progress" shot I was hoping to share!)
