Hahaha Keith I have a book with my proxies written in it.
I was losing track ( pun intended ) too and think I'm at 5 proxies with multiple cars.
Plus my regular builds on top.
Having said that, the Farmers Almanac is calling for a cold one up here, so there should be some building time.

I know what you mean, Bob, I keep a chart with the proxy, the forum it is on, cars, numbers, and whether the cars have been sent, received or returned.

I started this with the first proxy I entered on HRW, the Nascar stockers.

The stats are as follows:

9 cars sent and returned, proxy completed
7 cars currently involved in ongoing proxies
13 cars at various stages of completion and scheduled to be sent to future proxies that have been already announced. Six are not started yet or just barely. I even have an idea for a new proxy, but I will wait until after Christmas to announce that one.

While most of these proxies are on HRW, I also have some in SCI proxies, the first and now second Canada Slot Car Proxy, and our own club's Targa Florio Proxy.

I am going to be a busy lad for the next while, and my planned track is in a holding pattern. There is too much stuff in the garage anyway. Maybe next summer, eh?

Todd, those 13" wheels are the same as the no longer available BWA rims. I had a pair of D'Art urethane tires for them, but they were too large a diameter. I turned them down on a Razor and Luf made me copies of the smaller tire. These wheels are 8mm wide and have flanges on both sides and no central ridge. The tires are about 19mm but have lots of room to be turned down more. I also have a couple pairs of CB Design wheels from Slot Car Corner (Canada) that are 14x7, and with the matching Paul Gage tires are already 18mm and again have room to turn down another mm or so.

Anyway, if you order those tires from Luf (oldslotracer.com), tell him you want the BWA ones he made for Keith.

Also Art at D'Art Hobbies makes inserts for those RS wheels, his small size.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have the track owner change the two wires or throw the directional switch? Some motors are made to run best in the direction we always run them, and the motor would still turn the correct way if the track polarity was changed. Our tracks here are always raced in either direction.

The key here is it is suggested you can do either a motor wire switch or a gear flip. So if 1/2 the entries swap the wires, and the other 1/2 flops the gear, only 1/2 of the cars are going to register going across my dead strips. I don't think it's wise to tell the host to switch wires on his dead strips for 1/2 the cars, and switch them again for the other 1/2. My point is it has to be either or, not what ever...

JJust trying to eliminate potential headaches... :D

A few posts up this page I erroneously stated that BWA 13" wheels are no longer available at DArt Hobbies. It is the 15" ones he is sold out of, I just bought some 13s from him. Sorry if my post misled anyone.
