Thanks for the compliments guys! :D
I didn't make too much progress tonight as it was a second night of grass cutting (I was shocked to have two days in a row with out rain - which has been kind of rare here in Ohio this summer!)
But even with the delay in getting started on the tinkering, I did manage to make some headway.
The front and rear wires have been trimmed back and the body relieved a bit more, allowing the front end to sit down where it should. That puts the stance / ride height pretty close to where she will be when everything shakes out in the end.
I forgot to take a shot of the chassis itself without the body - but in addition to trimming the front/rear wires, the rear rails have been tied together, the rear axle tube has been cut, the first test motor (which after a bath, actually sounds pretty strong) has been installed along with a 9 tooth pinion and lightly used Parma 33 tooth crown (going to have to do some break in on that one as she has a bit of a howl to her right now). ;)
I balanced the remaining body pieces on the chassis to snap another couple shots to give a bit better idea of where the final look is headed and I think I like it! :D
Retro - I did go with the PGT compound for the rear tires to limit the grip a bit, but yeah, I am thinking that she is going to need some notable track time to sort out the handling between the narrow track width, short wheel base and wiiiiiiiiide rear boots. But... it ought to be a lot of fun! :)
Hope you guys enjoy the pics!
