Modern American Muscle Sportsmans on the big banked oval!

Postby TuscoTodd » Fri Jul 10, 2015 7:45 am

The American Muscle Bombers spent a little time on the big banked oval at Mark's Model World for qualifying and boy could some notable disparities be seen!
All the cars were really well hooked up and a lot of fun to drive - but the cars that stuck with the requested 8 - 30 gearing were left in the dust!

Here is how the field shook out:

If all goes well, we will be running the racing portion next Wednesday! :D

Pics from the qualifying action to follow this weekend!

That is why I raised the question on gearing before the series started. 1 or 2 teeth or whatever you have can be pretty liberal.

No biggie it's just a fun run. That's why I wasn't to concerned on the gearing. We all could have used the same gears the others did. I just kinda wanted a parts bin build for the most part. Didn't want people to have to spend a fortune us know.

The impressions are great love the weights and the balance portion along with the gear ratio break down!

Thanks for the videos. Hope it races good enough to get those two cars from Sadco Racing.
Todd, I had a feeling that 8/30 was going to be the exception. Oh well.

:) Glad you guys are enjoying the coverage / info!
We've definitely had a good time running them here and as the video clips show - they make for great door to door action!
:banana-dance:

As an FYI - I received a PM from Sadco Racing requesting, if possible, a gearing swap before the next venue.
I will be doing the swaps this weekend, prior to the field heading east to TurboKev on Monday. :)
Should make for even better door to door action!
