New bomber Camaro

Postby turbokev » Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:06 am

My son Cooper was wanting to build an Artin bomber but we had no extra bodies..
Basically we take a stock Artin stocker and put an American body on it.. they make
fun 'Street Stock' cars.. or 'Charger division' cars..
Cooper likes them to look beat up like the real local cars.. so I put a Wanted ad
here in the Buy/Sell forum looking for any inexpensive Camaro body..

Huge thanks to Steve (Gameover) for setting Cooper up with a '69 Camaro body
and it didn't even cost him any allowance money LOL.. Thanks again Steve!

It arrived yesterday and last night we dremeled the wheel wells, added a few numbers,
used the heat gun to get some dents in it, and a nail file to scrape it up.. Now it looks the part~

That looks awesome when you put dents and creases in the body to make them look more beat up!

I love that authentic look!

Awesome Kev!

I hope your son enjoys the Camaro!!!

It needs those red glowing headlights like the Grave Digger truck has for a more possessed look.

Very cool bomber....love the weathered look. Cooper, if you're open for a suggestion from an old "battle damage" diorama guy; use a little silver paint on some of the scratches to show they are fresher than some others.

Kev one note: do you know how it jangles an old sports car guy to see the bomber and the Lime Rock sign/pagoda in the same pic? :o If you're going to do that get a Rod Serling figure to put in the shot "that signpost up ahead....you're in the Slotcar Zone"!
