Simplified way to sell Trans Am cars

Postby slothead » Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:43 pm

A bunch of great Trans Am cars have been put up for sale recently on HRW. I was thinking about a way to simplify the process and have an idea.

Rather than go through all the trouble of doing a posting with descriptions and photos, just send me a PM with the same info and I'll help you edit the listing down a car or two. Saves time and forum space. :D

Glad to help out whenever I can.

Are you trying to say that you are interested in buying TransAm cars with no competition from anyone else who wants to buy?

Err - waaytoomuch, I wouldn't put it exactly as you suggest. While it might look that way on the surface, on a deeper level it's all about care and concern for fellow HRW forum users. The traditional method of posting cars and waiting for responses, exchanging PM, etc., is overly cumbersome and all that typing could lead to repetitive stress disorder. By opting to just PM me first and reducing the cars to be posted, the threat is reduced. I take on the burden of some of the initial transaction stuff, sparing everyone else.

If you're suggesting I'm just trying to get first dibs on hot cars, well I resemble, I mean resent that comment.

I must say that is one selfless gesture on your part! To keep you from having a work overload doing this, I would be happy to share the responsibility's. May i also suggest that this is done with any and all vintage sports cars that may be listed on HRW,they could be sent directly to me for same reasons stated above. I hate to see any one Member take on SO much responsibility!
You are a good man Joe! Your care for your fellow members knows no bounds!

I have some but I am not sure I want to get off of them yet.

At this point it may take a stick of dynamite to do so even though I have been favoring Ho as of late.....

BRP32 - I can feel your pain brother. All those clunky 1/32 scale Mustangs, Camaros, and what not taking up space that should rightfully be devoted to HO scale stuff. It's obvious the burden of holding onto them is eating at you. Let 'em free and move on.

There was a slight typo in Bob's email above. What he meant to say was PM your list to me first and then he'll gladly assist with what's left afterwards. Think of this as a tag-team match, I'll go in the ring first and handle the heavy lifting, then tag him in to clean up. :liar:

Quit tempting me.......

With the way things are going with work not allowing me to go back on light duty now due to restrictions from my surgery, it may come down to me having to part with my 1/32 in the future.

I need to ride things out a bit then I will see.......

I will keep you guys in mind if and when I do decide to take that next step.

I hate to do it but we will have to wait and see........

That seams more than fair! I will just handle the rare hard to get ones, and you being first in, will wade through any mundane stuff that shows up. :D

BPR32 (Wayne) - all kidding aside I hope you are able to hold onto the stuff you care about. Slot cars are a great hobby and its value as a way to relax and get away from daily stress is important.

We're pulling for you, hang tough.

Thanks Slothead!

I very much appreciate your kind words.

I don't want to get out of 1/32 completely and would keep my track with a few cars to run.

If I can purchase or scratch build them once I can do it again.

I may need to sell some in the future. I will decide that when the time comes.

I went through the same thing about 10 years ago when money was tight when my kids were born.

You have to provide for your families needs first and fore most then hobbies come after wards

I put my faith in the Lord for what we need.

He will take care of us and lead the way......

Thank you again!

Wayne :D :D :D
