Didn't realize that it was a metallic blue! And boy - you are right - that satin black is a NICE contrast!

Nice looking cars no doubt.... but that engine sticking out of the hood doesnt look very well done to my eye.
Scalextric get their classic F1 cars to great detail but there is something lacking here.

I thought something looked a bit "off" with mine as well, but after painting some of the details on the blower and changing from a "stock" looking two tone paint job to something that is a bit wilder, it is definitely grown on me. :)

I got the red one for Christmas.
I also own the Pioneer '68 Charger. Light blue with a white hard top, my parade car !!!
