I was not even one when the currency changed....

....The weights and measures was a pain at school if I remember correctly, we had to be "Bi-Lingual" with them, Imperial and metric until they got it sorted out.

The one came here and ahhh, what should I say, ahh . . . made a child with an American. The other two came as husband and wife for their education and got a job after two kids were born here. Heck, I feel like I moved to Australia. They drink Irish Whiskey and beer purchased at Jungle Jim's (ask Waaaaytoooomuchbeerinhim what this means). This should be pinned as a great post on name calling and proper beer. We have the latter here but if you want good American you cannot recognize the name or ever have seen it in a commercial on TV.

I've met a few Aussie's, and can say all were great people. One guy was in our bonsai club. Real personable man. The other was a girl when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor back in '69. Wildest woman I ever met. She was there on vacation. Foster's to me isn't Australian beer. Just as Primo isn't Hawaiian beer. Primo is horrible stuff. It tasted so bad I had to b**w a goat to get the taste out of my mouth. :lol:
