SCANC - Slot Car Addicts of North Carolina

Slot Car Addicts of North Carolina (SCANC) has a loose "membership" of nine guys. We have 8 routed mdf tracks in close proximity. Two of those tracks can accommodate both 1/32 and 1/24 scale cars. Four of them are right here in Winston-Salem only minutes apart. The other four are less than an hour's drive from here. There are no dues and we welcome all racers so if you're in the area send one of us a PM.

4) OLD FART INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY (OFIR) ~ Rob Fowler's Old OFI, a 65' four-lane routed mdf with 3.5" lane spacing, Winston-Salem, NC. This one is now disassembled and will be rebuilt in the same commercial space that houses SlotZuka.






5) BUENA VISTA MOTORSPORTS PARK ~ Marcus Seitz' 55' four-lane routed mdf with 3.5" lane spacing, Winston-Salem, NC








6) ASCOT RACEWAY ~ Jeff Buyer's four-lane routed oval, mdf with 3.5" lane spacing, Mooresville, NC







7) LEADFINGER RACEWAY ~ Scott Yaeger's 55' three-lane routed mdf with 3.5" lane spacing, Summerfield, NC





8) SLOTKINS GLEN ~ Scott Treichler's four-lane routed mdf with 3.5" lane spacing, Lexington, NC

Hopefully will be joining you folks in the foreseeable future. As quick as our place here in Indiana sells we are heading that way. We are looking in the Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Goldsboro and Elizabeth City areas (all 4 have military hospital, commissary, etc and a profusion of rental homes). Fayetteville and Jacksonville seem to be the front runners. One of the prerequisites for the new place is a garage which will be mine (I'm giving up a basement here) so I will have a place to set up a track and spread "my stuff" (as she puts it) out. Look forward to racing with you!

Thanks Tusco! TsgtRet - We're at least a two hour drive from Fayetteville but we'd be glad to race with you. Looking forward to meeting you. I'm retired military also. Four years with the Corps and 19 with the Coast Guard.

The Ascot oval has been replaced with a small road course, Hazard Raceway.
