North East Snow...stay warm

Watching the news and you folks are getting a touch more than a "dusting".

Hang in there and hope you stay warm. I know you are used to it, but it's still a heck of a storm.

Check in when you can.

BTW, Dickie is a great snow shoveler. He will do complete driveways just for slotcars.

So far it looks like things will not be as bad in my part of Connecticut as they were predicting yesterday. Right now there is about 4 inches of snow in my driveway, the wind is really blowing and it is only 15 degrees. There is a lot more snow in eastern Connecticut, we had to cancel our Wednesday night race.

9:30 am and we have about 14 inches so far.. Should get 10 - 12 more before it wraps up overnight..
Thankfully the winds are not as high as they thought so we still have power..




My Mom and Dad live in Worcester MA. and they took this at 8:30 am.. That's their Buick across the street..
She thinks they have at least 24" already.. They are an hour and half south of me..

We got lucky. Only 2 inches and its starting to melt on the pavement already. Just an hour's drive north and they are socked in.

Talked to SCC and it's bad but they are managing :)

One more reason to have car battery backup for your track, and lighted slot cars! never know what the weather may do.

It stopped snowing here about two hours ago, I waited until the street got plowed and the wind died down to do my driveway and front walk. The snow was only 6-9 inches deep. I got 26 inches from the blizzard of 2013, it was 40 inches just a few miles north of my place. I was stuck in the house for four days after that one.

Be careful all you Northeasterners, shovelling snow is a major cause of heart attacks. We don't want to lose any of you.

Meanwhile, it is 11 C here. (That's over 50 F) and I live in the so-called "Great White North", eh?

Just sit back and enjoy the snow, we haven't had any this winter, except on the mountains.

Just started snowing way up here in Northern Vermont, not much of any accumulation yet… so no plowing or shoveling needed because it is so cold and dry should be ok and easy. It has been wicked cold though for the last week, in the single digits and below zero at night. Running the Jøtul wood stove in the basement helps. The best part is blowing donuts in the Audi quattro ;)
