Thank you for the quick reply - I have a bunch on my bench as well and want to make sure that I don't "over commit" - but if we are looking tax time - consider me in as I think I still have a Scalextric Mustang FR500C body kicking around that doesn't have a home. :D

Dave - glad to hear that you are volunteering to host! Hopefully we can get a couple of the others that have oval tracks (Harry, Bibbster, Arroldn, Btaylor, etc) to offer to join in the fun as well! :P

Oh - also, if you guys don't mind a banked oval in the mix - I can host on the '69 banked tri-oval at Mark's Model World as well! (Just let me know)

This ought to be pretty cool! (I already have a paint scheme coming to mind - now just need to place an order with Slot Car Corner for some supplies!)

I would like to host but after running the VNFR I am concerned about the use of deep guides. I think I trimmed 3 guides to get them to cross over my power track plus just get around in some spots. One guide was broken.

Arrold -
If you can get a measurement on what the max depth your track can accommodate is - I would think that could be added as one of the "rules" for this fun run? (we have done that in the past - to accommodate tracks with shallower slots)
Ultimately that will be up to Gameover - but I know I would be more than happy to trim my guide slightly during the building process to insure that it could work at your track. :)

I'll go measure the slot depth. What I noticed was the cars that had issues were at 6.5 mm. Trim down to 6 mm and you should be fine. But let me go measure the slot.

I found my starting platform - the Scaley Mustang I picked up for parts with a split chassis! :D
I didn't see my name on the list of participants on page one - but consider me in both with a car and a track to host at!
