My only "Oval" cars

Postby chrisguyw » Tue Feb 10, 2015 4:01 pm

Hi, My name is Chris Walker, and although I have been lurking here for a while, this is my first post. I have been looking for a good entry point for this initial post, and having noticed that there is a good sized following for cars that go round and round ;) , I have attached my only "oval" cars.

I must apologise that I do not have any chassis pics., and as a couple of these cars have gone to new homes, I am unlikely to get any.

Cheers
Chris Walker

PS I do recognise a few familiar names here (hello) and I do hope to meet some new folks

First up is Mr. Hill's Lotus 56......an AMT static kit, with Indycal decals, Cox Lotus 40 wheels, Firestone repro Ortmanns, and a scratchbuilt flexiboard chassis.

Next up is Jimmy R's Watson roadster.....an Ej's clear plastic body (and decals) on a scratch chassis, wheels/inserts from BWA.

And lastly, AJ's Coyote....A Dubro clear body on a vintage Dynamic/Pan chassis........this is my only pic., (crummy at that) and as the car has found a new owner, you will have to trust me when I say it is quite a good looking car....use your imagination.

PPSS I have just noticed that these pics. may be a bit larger than allowed......sorry.

Great builds!

I appreciate the nicely finished clear bodies. It used to be a very big part of the slot car hobby and now not so much - really good to see these detailed and built so well. A clear body and a scratch built chassis can still be the basis of a relatively inexpensive but great looking slot.

Thanks for the post!
