I too, learned this same lesson, However, if you build a series of only pyro and lindberg kits to run together, they are quite fun.Just dont park them next to a true scale car. Oddly enough, the 40 ford sedan from pyro is real close to 1/32.

That's great, man. I'm very impressed. You should consider making molds for resin copies. Some of those are very hard to find in proper scale, and it looks to me like you got close enough to have very popular resin bdoies from them.

I don't mind the modeling part, but I have lots of respect for those casting guys.....
I've been fooling around with it & it's HARD....I can do OK for myself, but I wouldn't pay me money for them.
I'm new to 1/32....been 1/24 all my life......I'm trying to make molds of each different car I build before paint.

You need to consult Dave in California or some of these other wizards. You have done the hardest part- fixing the goofy scale they used. Now you can produce something that doesn't exist as far as I know- just get an HRW colaborator and away we go.

I did a Pyro '37 Chevy back in the '60s and it was closer to 1/43rd scale. I put the body on an AC Gilbert chassis. I took a section out of the body to make it a little narrower so it would look like a 1:1 car that had been narrowed as well.

The Lindberg Kits are the same molds that were used by Pyro (with a few exceptions) and they are not all small some are quite large! (although I would say very few listed as 1/32 ARE actually 1/32)
The 2 door Chevy Business coupe is closer to 1/37, but they had some Packards, and such which were 1/32 or larger! I found many were about 1/35!

I think you did good - besides, the way you've done it anyone would be hard pressed to see that was ever not to scale. Nice work!
