ROAR Race Roster / June 30th race date

The Porsche 550 is running-ready.......just need to do some finishing/detail work. It won't win any concours, but should look OK toodling around....

The MGA (modified Artin chassis with an NC-1) is running, but it's trickier than the Porsche. Tall sticky tires make for some interesting cornering. And it needs plenty of finishing, but should be ready to go in time for the race. I do need to settle on a number though.......

Definitely will be fun!. I've got to get working on my cars - pronto! Right now, I'm scrambling to get the first round track up and running......................... It's coming along, but there are a lot of little things in building your first track that take up time............ :doh:

No worries Allan, If we start a little late, nobody will mind I'm sure. I would take the first race, but I am backed up with fun runs for a bit.

Thanks Bob. I'll make it. The braid gets layed down this week, so the wiring and the electric component hook-up should be following that. I plan to have it competed by mid-May. So, plenty of time to trouble shoot it before this year's Le Mans race. :pray:

Will have some build pics of the MGA later this week. Started life as an Artin......reworked rear body mount, custom front axle carrier, NC-1 power, Ninco running gear old Carrera guide. It's a complete mutt.....but it was all out of the parts box, so why not?
I am looking to settle on a number.......is #30 still available?

The first post on this thread doesn't have anyone signed up with the number 30, so I'd say it's yours. I'll ask Bob to confirm that.

Looking forward to the pics of the MGA build out (my first 1:1 car when I was growing up; and it was definitely a parts box car............!! :lol: )

Yes please........the Porsche is #8, and the MGA will be #30.

Unless someone needs a slot....I would pass one in that case.

Working on the driver.....hate painting the drivers, it's the worst part for me.....
Hopefully will be done tomorrow night, with pics to follow. Don't get too excited.....it was a wreck when I got it, and it's nowhere near the work that The Boyz are known for....in fact, these kids sorta did a few things in haste to get the car ready.

Posted pics of my D-Type in the "Builds" thread. Hope #16 is ok, didn't even think about it as those were the only large roundels I have made up, right now! Have to find some skinny PGs for it.

One month left until the start of the 2015 Le Mans classic, and the start of the 2015 ROAR Fun Run!

How's everybody coming along on their cars? I've seen half a dozen or so posted to the ROAR builds thread, but the rest of you must be keeping you cars under wraps....................

Me, I'm getting there. The new track has gotten me a little behind where I thought I'd be, but the chassis are built out; now they need tires, body work and tuning........lots of tuning........
