I just noticed that in the Hot Rod class, you have me down for a 57 Chevy. It's actually a 55.

Not much talk going on with this deal, is this still a active race ?
Myself I had yesterday planned as a test day at BULLITT SPWY. but I wasn`t far enough along on my gasser to get a real feel for it. More than anything I`m interested to find out if both cars will travel the distance in a straight line, and not bounce to much, with the 40k motors, these urethane tires are going to do some weird things. :text-yeahthat:

Mark, my cars are done waiting on being shipped. I have tested as much as i could, but still dont know about that top end? could need a catchers mitt for mine for all i know. :lol:

Oh this is definitely still on guys! I have just been tied up with yard work (HELLO spring time! :) ) and company from out of town to actually make headway on my builds.
I haven't tried a set of urethanes "at speed" but my bolt a set to my "Spec Drag" car to give them a whirl next week to see if they cause any issue over the foams.
The Spec Drag cars use a hotter motor than the H&R Lightning - so it should be a "worst case" type scenario. (The Spec drag cars are clearing the traps at speeds ranging from 36 - 42mph depending on how people have them geared, etc)

Wish I knew what to build..anyone wanna send a body for a quick scratch build? I'm guessing the motor is readily available? Tire advice and weight maybe?

I've got this k&b dragster(chrome one) with really cool wheels and still soft tires but it's 1/25 I believe. Then there's the scaled down copy next to it that's more along the 1/32 lines...a copy of sorts.
Anyone have a body?

I formed some thin styrene over a 9 volt battery. it worked great for the rail body.

i believe your chassis is not legal... maybe the brass one will work?

Chassis - wide open with the exception of NO factory drag chassis being allowed. Ideally we would love to see everyone try their hand at building a chassis from scratch. (great time to try your hand at fabbing one from brass, plastic, wire, wood, paper mache, etc!)

I think it is....here it is next to my revell monogram galaxie......btw ky racer...it is homemade, just patterned like the k&b.....the bigger chrome one is factory....edit, I see what you were asking now...yes the brass one is my intended chassis
