Pro Series HO Supertires

I am going to raffle off four sets of Pro Series Supertires with Zoomin Wheels at the Trans-Am Revisited race this Saturday. If anyone shows up with a car with Supertires I can take a picture of it so you can enter the photo contest.

I just read your report on Super Tires . Some of the local racrs are venturing out on a new adventure this season , We are going to run AW chassis with modified and Fairground type cars on "Sectional Track Only " .

I was wondering if there were anymore handout tires for testing ?

Is there a bulk price that we could buy as a group ?

I guess everyone must be busy doing their Christmas shopping, we have not seen any new entries in the photo contest for a while. You should be reminded that Nick likes red, white and blue cars and I have also been told that his favorite number is 5. If anyone needs help posting pictures drop me a PM.

Here's MY TWO photo contest entries.... Both the Corvette and the old Yellow Coupe are wearing Pro Series "Silicones" in all four corners, in size .364". These cars really are cornering better with these tires, and I much prefer them over the "Urethane" Pro Series tires that I Beta tested several months ago. My only complaint is, I wish these tires came in a .400" size, or at LEAST in .375"
Oh btw, the old blue Coupe in the photo, is running the old style Silicone(Regular) Super Tires in size .375"

Back when the Pro Series tires were under development we did a survey to see what sizes people were interested in and at that time nobody posted that they wanted larger diameter tires. I would have to agree that purely for looks larger tires look better on certain cars. Note that there are Supertires with rounded sidewalls made for Tyco cars, the smallest diameter is 0.418, but that would be on a 0.275 wheel. On a 0.250 wheel the tires would be close to 0.400 inches in diameter.

Here ya go Rich. The wheels on the Mustang are threaded aluminum with a .210 diameter. The rat Camaro has stock Thunder Jet Ultra G wheels that were stripped and painted. Both cars have your new Super Tires.

Supertires is working on a new tire for ECHORR Nostalgia cars. For those of you that are not familiar with that class it is for Aurora Thunderjet cars with a maximum width of 1 1/8th inch. Maximum tire width is 0.12 inches with a minimum diameter of 0.350 inch. Stock T-Jet magnets must be used, no A/FX, SuperII, JL/AW or Dash magnets. Brass front ends and double flanged rear wheels are allowed.
An old test mould has been reworked so tires of the appropriate width and diameter can be made. I have been testing both silicone and medium urethane tires on one of my cars and on this car built by Hiram Durant.



There are a few questions that need to be asked at this point. First of all we need to know how many people race this sort of car and secondly what sizes would you like to see? If the market for these tires is too limited it will not be possible to offer many sizes. Tires 0.118 inch wide with a slightly rounded outer sidewall are being considered.
