Bob , Shotgun is working on some tires for the S/C Rigs. I hope to have them running up the hill in a few weeks. they don't do real bad as they are, but more traction is in order for some good runs.
cant wait!

Less than 30 minutes ago, I ran this time with my Dragon car. it took more than the five laps I said I would run the cars, but it is capable of this.Image

Getting faster , thats a good sign , perhaps the track is rubbering in too.

I think the track is rubbering in some, and I just switched to the new variable power supply also. running at a lower voltage makes smoother runs, and smoother is faster!
Allan, the car I have been tuning on /up is a Carrera Opel GT. Nothing special, just all the little tricks and small things that add up to a good car. I will post a pic of it as soon as I get back out to the shop.
Glad to hear you are considering a turn at the Dragon!

Those Carrera Opel GT's do very well as proxy cars in the GTU/GT-2 class. I'm chasing 3 of them now with a Porsche 904 in the CanAm proxy; and I can't get by them after 7 rounds.

I'm thinking the wide body Porsche 356 that was posted recently (can't remember the thread). Short wheelbase, wide track, low CoG, high rpms and short gearing all look, to me, like places to go with a hill climb car for your track..................

I'm going to Google: "Dragonslotslayer 101" and see what I can come up with.............

Funny you should mention the 356. Shotgun sent me a brass chassis version quite a while back. it is one of the best cars to drive on the hill. its a resin body on one of his chassis. great handler, and fast too. I need to spend more time with that one! but for now, my car of choice is the GT. but the 356 would be a dandy pick I think.
Be mindful of the uphill grade, good traction, and a light front end. I think you know what i mean!
