TGIF - Rainy Days

What a wet week. The rain just keeps coming around here, with last nights pouring being the last in the forecast for at least a few days.

Of course we know that can change.

But for now the forecast looks HOT.

Same goes for the hobby. I am hearing some really interesting news that hopefully in the next week or so will go public. Stay tuned because I am told that MANY of us will be pretty excited.

On the new release front, the 2 latest Slot.it models should be hitting the shelves as well as some Carrera models.

Those scratchbuilding over in the ORW should be getting excited. MT Resins is almost ready to launch some new models along with the website.


I am looking forward to these castings a great deal.

So projects are in full swing around here with the Mighty Modified Maverick challenge going on. Fun to rebuild these unique cars and get them out on the oval.

It has been raining, raining and raining here as well - so APalmer, Slot Therapist and I are headed to Route 93 Raceway tonight for HRW HO Proxy action on the MAXX TRAXX course folllowed up with some regularly scheduled HO racing to finish out the evening - should be a great time! :D

I LOVE the M/T Chevelle and will have to get one of those!

So far today it hasn't rained...only because we got it last night LOL. It was 90 on Sunday, 67 on Monday with rain, 58 on Tuesday with rain...you get the picture. Today is high 70's so far and we get into the upper 80's again this weekend. Still no fires, but nothing here would light anyway...not that I'm complaining!

Shotgun - Yeah, but it is a DRY HEAT LOL! Do us a favor though...make sure we don't get any pictures of you in the wife's French Maid outfit or apron...not sure we could handle that. Please do wish Veronica a Happy Birthday for me.

Work today (I'm on lunch) followed by more thrashing on the Corvair! Almost there...

Tomorrow dad needs some help down at his place so we will be spending the afternoon working there before meeting friends for dinner.

Sunday I think we're doing an RV show - not buying, just always fun to go through them all.

Inlaws family reunion this weekend. So out of town again. Golfing Saturday and home Sunday. Another weekend of no slots.

Don't complain about rain, at least you are getting some. Dave and his neighbours haven't had much for four years, and in spite of the fact this is often called the wet coast, we haven't had much in four months. For the past month it seems to have been up around 30+ Celsius every day, and the forests are burning up. If you have been having dramatic sunsets lately, it is from the smoke from our wildfires. Today was the first day that felt cool and we are supposed to get a few days of light rain, but I will believe it when I feel it.

Got the Grandsons coming tomorrow, of course with Daughter and Hubby.
There will be some track time and will
be a BBQ of some sort. Turkey burgers maybe, havent had them for a few yrs.

Getting caught up on household chores. And
Mothers 82nd on Tuesday and It needs a plan for a nice day for her.
I wonder if she wants to slot race lol
